SCF Students Participate in C.A.R.E.’s Art Across the Spectrum
(Bradenton, Fla., May 6, 2013) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) art, design, humanities department will participate in the Center for Autism Resources and Education's (C.A.R.E.) Art Across the Spectrum, a celebration of extraordinary artwork created by exceptional children, at 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Saturday, May 11, on Main Street in Lakewood Ranch.
At the event, an SCF student will be presented with a $500 prize from the C.A.R.E. board of directors for winning the concept drawing contest organized by the SCF art, design, humanities department. The concept drawing of C.A.R.E.'s proposed new full- service spectrum center will be on display during the event, and it will be used in future C.A.R.E. promotional materials.
SCF also will have a booth featuring SCF art students who will create paintings and drawings. SCF students also will take photos at the event.
