Head Coach Brock Erickson Resigns
(Bradenton, Fla., June 5, 2013) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) has announced the resignation of the men's basketball head coach Brock Erickson.
"SCF's athletic program and basketball fans are grateful for the excitement Coach Erickson brought to the SCF basketball team this season. We wish him well as he pursues the next step in his coaching career," said Matt Ennis, SCF athletic director.
During the 2012-13 season, Erickson led the SCF Manatees to claim the 2013 Suncoast Conference Tournament title and qualify for the state tournament for the third time in 15 years. SCF Manatees finished the season ranked No. 8 in the Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) and led the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) in scoring.
SCF Manatees players also claimed individual awards including the 2013 Suncoast Conference Player of the Year, six Suncoast All-Conference Team honors, three FCSAA Player of the Week recognitions and one NJCAA Player of the Week recognition.
