SCF Nursing Faculty Earn National Credentials
(Bradenton, Fla., July 3, 2013) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) recognized two nursing faculty members for achieving national nursing credentials awarded from the National Certification Corporation (NCC).
Elizabeth Bockheim, SCF assistant professor, became a nationally credentialed Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse and Diane Taylor, SCF assistant professor, met the requirements to maintain the Maternal Newborn Nurse credential from NCC. They earned their credentials by meeting educational and practice requirements and taking a rigorous examination that covers specialty areas.
NCC, accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies, is a nonprofit organization that sponsors a national certification program in the obstetric, gynecologic and neonatal specialties.
