SCF to Offer New Entrepreneur Program Fall 2013
(Bradenton, Fla., July 10, 2013) — New and prospective students at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) now have another career opportunity through a new Associate in Science (A.S.) in Business Administration with a specialization in entrepreneurship beginning this fall.
Designed to encourage innovative thinkers to pursue their business ventures with the confidence and the skills they need for success, the entrepreneur track will help budding entrepreneurs learn how to open, manage and market their own small businesses. They also will have the opportunity to participate in events and network with local entrepreneurs and business owners.
The first two courses, including Introduction to Entrepreneurship and Marketing for the Entrepreneur, will be offered at SCF Bradenton in Fall 2013 and later expanded to other SCF campus locations and online. Additional courses to be offered in the future include Entrepreneurship Finance and Taxes, Entrepreneurship Legal Issues, and Entrepreneurship Plan.
Students studying nursing, business, technology, music or art who may want to open their own businesses may be interested in taking entrepreneur courses at SCF.
