SBDC at SCF Hosts Lunch and Learn Nov. 13
(Bradenton, Fla., November 4, 2013) — The Small Business Development Center at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota
(SCF), in partnership with the city of North Port and the North Port Area Chamber
of Commerce, will host the eighth workshop in the Small Business Lunch and Learn monthly
series. The workshop is free and open to the public.
The workshop, “Conquering the Fear of Failure,” will be held 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, at the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee at North Port, 5920 Pan American Blvd., North Port.
At the workshop, business owners will learn that entrepreneurship is not for the faint of heart. Many small business owners get tired and lose their initial confidence when things don’t go as planned and often give in too early. As the fear of failure develops, it is important for business owners to remember the confidence they had when they started their business venture. The workshop will help them learn to reignite their confidence and enthusiasm to attack problems that may block the path to success.
The workshop will be presented by Mike Lowe, CPA. “Your Most Valuable Business Asset,” his online office available at www.mikelowecpa.com, delivers financial services to homeowners and business owners, enabling them to participate in financial management. They also can use the financial calculator, which assists in budgeting, financial planning or determining loan payments, and receive tax and accounting news from the client newsletter.
Lunch will be provided at no cost by the program’s sponsors, Mike Lowe, CPA, LLC, and Buffalo Wings and Rings.
To register for each workshop, call SBDC at SCF at 941-408-1412.
