SCF Observes Veterans Day

State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) offices will be closed and no classes or other activities will be held at SCF Bradenton, SCF Venice and SCF Lakewood Ranch, and all other locations on Monday, Nov. 11, in observance of Veterans Day. During the holiday weekend, Saturday College classes at SCF Lakewood Ranch will be held as scheduled.

The academic resource center, library and dental hygiene clinic are closed throughout the weekend and on Monday for Veterans Day. The regular schedule of classes, labs and libraries will resume Tuesday, Nov. 12.

SCF Studio 84 Productions will present an interactive children's theatre production, “The Story of Juanito Citruseed.” The production will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov.11, in the David S. and Anne V. Howard Studio Theatre at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. W., building 11 West. The event is free and open to the public.

Web registration began Monday, Oct. 28, for all transfer, transient and readmit students and all others not previously registered for Spring term 2014 classes. New student Web registration is arranged through new student orientations by appointment. View scf.edu/ClassSchedules.

Prospective students and their families are invited to learn more about SCF’s programs and services at an Admission Express event 4:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. W., Student Services, building 1; SCF Lakewood Ranch, 7131 Professional Pkwy. E., Medical Technology and Simulation Center lobby; and SCF Venice, 8000 S. Tamiami Trail, building 100.

SCF offers degrees with courses available at SCF campuses and online for students who intend to begin their careers immediately after graduation, transfer to university programs or continue at SCF in select baccalaureate programs.
