SCF to Host 2014 A.S. in Nursing Information Sessions
(Bradenton, Fla., December 13, 2013) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) will offer information sessions for students interested in applying for the Associate in Science (A.S.) in Nursing Degree Program.
Information sessions are scheduled at the following three campuses:
- 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 13, at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. W., building 29, room 106;
- 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, at SCF Venice, 8000 S. Tamiami Trail, building 800, room 857; and
- 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27, at SCF Lakewood Ranch, 7131 Professional Pkwy. E., Medical Technology & Simulation Center, room 203.
The application period for the Summer 2014 LPN-to-RN Transition Program, which allows a qualified licensed practical nurse (LPN) to complete evening and weekend courses to become a registered nurse (RN), is Feb. 1 - March 15. The LPN-to-RN Transition Program now requires applicants to have completed 30 prerequisite and general academic requirements to be eligible to apply.
The application period for the basic Fall 2014 A.S. in Nursing Degree Program is April 1-May 15. Students eligible for the basic A.S. in Nursing Program must have completed prerequisite courses and passed the nursing entrance examination.
