“Neurobiology of Human Spirituality” Lecture at SCF Venice March 19

(Bradenton, Fla., February 21, 2014) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) Philosophy Club will host a free lecture by neurobiologist Dr. Alan Grindal at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, at SCF Venice, 8000 S. Tamiami Trail, building 800, Selby Room.

During his lecture, “The Neurobiology of Human Spirituality,” Grindal will raise awareness of the interrelationship of science and religious experiences. A discussion with opportunity for questions will follow the lecture.

Grindal is a neurological consultant for the Memory Disorder Clinic at Sarasota Memorial Hospital and clinical assistant professor at Florida State University. He earned his medical doctor degree from the University of Illinois and bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University. He also has had a private practice in neurology in Sarasota since 1978.

The lecture is free and open to the public. Reservations are not required.
