SCF Observes Independence Day
(Bradenton, Fla., July 3, 2014) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) observes the Independence Day holiday on Friday, July 4. Offices are closed Friday, July 4, and no classes or other activities will be held at SCF Bradenton, SCF Venice, SCF Lakewood Ranch and all other locations. Classes will resume and offices will reopen Monday, July 7. The Library and Academic Resource Center at SCF Bradenton and SCF Venice will be closed Friday-Saturday, July 4-5, and will reopen on Sunday, July 6. Corporate & Community Development motorcycle classes will be held as scheduled during the weekend.
Prospective students and parents are invited to learn more about SCF programs and services at an upcoming Admission Express event scheduled 4:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. W., Student Services, building 1 lobby; SCF Lakewood Ranch, 7131 Professional Pkwy. E., Medical Technology and Simulation Center lobby; and SCF Venice, 8000 S. Tamiami Trail, building 100 lobby.
Fall classes begin Monday, Aug. 18, and enrollment for all students is now underway. Monday, Aug. 11, is the last day new student applications, including readmission applications, will be accepted for Fall 2014 term classes that begin Aug. 18-23. Returning students may register online at SCFconnect. New students may enroll online at scf.edu/admissions.
SCF offers associate and bachelor's degrees with courses available at SCF campuses and online for students who intend to transfer to university programs, start a professional career or continue at SCF in select baccalaureate programs.
