SCF and Bradenton Herald Partner on Community Conversation Aug. 20

(Bradenton, Fla., July 31, 2014) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF), in partnership with Bradenton/Lakewood Ranch Herald Editorial Board, will present the third public forum in the Community Conversations series 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. W. in the Howard Studio Theatre. It’s Building 11 West, off 60th Avenue West between 26th and 34th streets, accessible from parking lot I.

The Aug. 20 forum about the medical marijuana amendment on the November ballot will include Jessica Spencer, statewide coalition director for the Vote No on 2! Campaign; Cathy Jordan, president of the Florida Cannabis Action Network, and her husband, Bob; and Dr. Greg Gerdeman, assistant professor of biology at Eckerd College.

Conversations will be guided by SCF President Dr. Carol F. Probstfeld and Herald Editorial Page Editor Chris Wille. METV will record and broadcast the forums.

The forums are free and open to the public and public input is invited by emailing questions in advance to Wille at cwille@bradenton.com.
