SCF to Offer Course in Automated Systems Troubleshooting

(Bradenton, Fla., Sept. 26, 2014) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) will offer a two-day noncredit or continuing education course in Automated Systems Troubleshooting this fall. The course will be offered 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Oct. 23-24 at SCF Venice, 8000 S. Tamiami Trail.

The course is designed to provide anyone working in mechanical or electrical maintenance with a systematic process for troubleshooting automated, integrated systems.

Participants will learn methods and skills such as using schematics and diagrams to identify process components, using electrical test equipment to identify faulty components, establishing PLC communications, using the PLC as a troubleshooting tool, navigating PLC programs efficiently and determining the root cause of system failures.

The cost is $760 per student.
