Learn About Getting a Nursing Degree at SCF

(Bradenton, Fla., Jan. 7, 2016) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) offers information sessions about the Associate in Science in Nursing (ASN) Degree program. Upcoming sessions:

  • Wednesday, Jan. 13: 5 p.m. at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. W., Building 29, Room 106
  • Thursday, Jan. 21: noon at SCF Venice, 8000 S. Tamiami Trail, Building 800, Room 852
  • Thursday, Jan. 28: 9 a.m. at SCF Lakewood Ranch, 7131 Professional Parkway E., Building 2, Room 203
  • Monday, Feb. 15: 10 a.m. at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. W., Building 29, Room 106
  • Wednesday, Feb. 17: 5 p.m. at SCF Lakewood Ranch, Building 2, Room 203
  • Monday, Feb. 29: 10 a.m. at SCF Venice, Building 800, Room 852
  • Wednesday, March 23: 5 p.m. at SCF Venice, Building 800, Room 852
  • Thursday, March 24: 9 a.m. at SCF Lakewood Ranch, Building 2, Room 203
  • Monday, March 28: noon at SCF Bradenton, Building 29, Room 106

An ASN degree can be achieved in two years (four semesters). These information sessions will discuss how to apply to the program, prerequisites needed, requirements of the program once admitted, etc.

Following each information session, there will be another meeting to discuss the TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills) Entrance Exam. The TEAS is an ASN application requirement for the nursing program.
