Enrolled Agent Review Course to be Offered at SCF

(Bradenton, Fla., Sept. 16, 2015) – State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) department of Corporate and Community Development will offer an Enrolled Agent Review Course this fall at SCF Lakewood Ranch, 7131 Professional Parkway E.

Enrolled Agents (EAs) are tax preparers who have earned the highest credential awarded by the Internal Revenue Service. EAs earn higher salaries and, like attorneys and certified public accountants, have unlimited rights to represent taxpayers before the IRS.

The EA Review Course at SCF will be presented in partnership with Gleim, the preferred EA review provider of the National Association of Enrolled Agents. It will cover tax preparation for individuals and businesses, along with representation, taxes and procedures, and will help participants prepare for the rigorous three-part EA exam.

Classes will be held 6-9 p.m. Tuesdays and 9 a.m.-noon Saturdays on these dates:

  • Sept. 22, 26 and 29; Oct. 3 and 6: Part One, Individuals, followed by the first exam.
  • Oct. 13, 17, 20, 24, 27 and 31: Part Two, Businesses, followed by the second exam.
  • Nov. 10 and 14: Part Three, Representation, Taxes and Procedures, followed by the third exam.

Cost of the course is $1,100, which includes course materials. There are additional fees for testing.
