Let’s Hear it for the Girls! at SCF Symphonic Band Concert

(Bradenton, Fla., Nov. 10, 2015) – State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) Symphonic Band will present a concert – Let’s Hear it for the Girls! – at 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, in Neel Performing Arts Center at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. W.

The concert will feature top women composers in the country, with music by Carolyn Bremer, Grawemeyer Award winner Joan Tower, Pulitzer Prize winner Ellen Taaffe Zwilich, and Emmy Award winner Julie Giroux.

The SCF Symphonic Band is directed by Dr. Robyn Bell, SCF director of instrumental studies.
