Give Loved Ones the Gift of Education for the Holidays

(Bradenton, Fla., Dec. 3, 2015) — This holiday season, State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) is making it possible to give loved ones the gift of education. For the first time, friends and relatives of new and returning students can support their educational pursuits by purchasing gift certificates to be used for tuition or fees at SCF.

The certificates are available in amounts starting at $25. Upon purchase, the funds will be deposited into the student’s account and are available immediately. With classes priced at just over $100 per SCF credit hour including fees for in-state enrollment, individuals or families can advance their students’ careers by purchasing all or part of a desired course. For non-Florida residents, the cost of tuition and fees can be found at scf.edu/StudentServices/Tuition.

“We are thrilled to offer our community the chance to join us as we invest in student success,” said SCF President Dr. Carol F. Probstfeld. “By contributing to a loved one’s education at SCF you are helping to ensure them a lifetime of opportunity.”

Registration is open for the Spring term, which begins Jan. 11 and runs through April 29. For assistance or to register, visit scf.edu/StudentServices/Admissions.

Gift certificates can be purchased with a credit card by phone at 941-752-5370 or in person with cash, check or credit card at the cashier’s office in Building 1 at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. W., or in Building 100 at SCF Venice, 8000 S. Tamiami Trail.
