SCF Occupational Therapy Assistant Program Hosts Open House April 9

(Bradenton, Fla., March 4, 2015) – State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) students in the Occupational Therapy Assistant program will celebrate Occupational Therapy Month in April with two special events.

An open house is set for 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 9, in Building 28 at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. W. Visitors will have an opportunity to tour the OTA teaching/learning laboratory with state-of-the-art therapy equipment.

Faculty members will be available to answer specific questions about the profession, the SCF OTA program, career opportunities, salaries, work settings and job mobility. Currently enrolled students will share their perspectives of the program, and a student services adviser will provide additional information about SCF's OTA application process.

Students in the OTA Club also will design posters for a special display in the SCF Library, Building 8.  The posters, showing various aspects of occupational therapy, will be on display throughout the month.
