SCF President Dr. Carol F. Probstfeld Selected to Serve on the Manatee Memorial Hospital Board of Governors

(Bradenton, Fla., March 27, 2015) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) President Dr. Carol F. Probstfeld has been selected to serve on the Board of Governors for Manatee Memorial Hospital, a leading health care facility with a longstanding tradition of providing quality health care in the area.

“I am honored to serve the community and pleased that the Manatee Memorial Hospital Board of Governors recognizes SCF as a strong community partner. My service on the board is a testament to SCF’s commitment to health care in the region by supporting local hospitals and educating highly qualified nursing and health care professionals,” Probstfeld said. 

Probstfeld is the sixth president of SCF, the area's oldest and largest public college with more than 44,000 graduates, including many who contribute their expertise to the local medical community as doctors, nurses, nurse practitioners, radiographers, dental hygienists and occupational therapy and physical therapy assistants. 

Probstfeld has a doctorate in organizational leadership from Argosy University and an M.B.A. from John Carroll University. Probstfeld also serves on the Bradenton Area Economic Development Corporation and the Sarasota Chamber of Commerce.
