Students Ace Annual Exam in Math ACES Competition

(Bradenton, Fla., May 7, 2015) – Top math students from public and private high schools in Manatee and Sarasota counties participated in the annual Math ACES competition at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota.

Winners were Braden River High School, Dylan Krage; Bradenton Christian, Collin Vann Toale; Cardinal Mooney, Jack Corey; Lakewood Ranch High, Chase Thompson; Manatee High, Mario Ramos; North Port High, David Jones; Out-of-Door Academy, Mark Sulimirski; Palmetto High, Jonathan Nadeau; Pineview, Nicholas Pelisek; Riverview High, Ian Holst; Saint Stephen’s, Jacky Wang; Sarasota High, Dylan Tran; Sarasota Military Academy, Terrance Moretti; Southeast High, Andrew Klein; Suncoast Polytechnical High, Ryan Longood; and Venice High, Eduard Rainer.

Each top scorer is recognized at his or her school and receives a $150 cash award and a certificate at the school's senior awards assembly.

The exam is sponsored by the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Public Works Association Sun Coast Branch, the State College of Florida Foundation, the Education Foundation of Sarasota County, and the Sarasota Council of Teachers of Mathematics. Exams were created, administered and graded by the SCF Math Department Faculty.
