SCF Bradenton to Host Radiography Information Session

(Bradenton, Fla., Jan. 19, 2016) – State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) will host a Radiography Program Information Session for those interested in applying for the Summer 2016 term. The session will be at 4 p.m. Jan. 20 at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. W., Building 29, Room 106. The session is approximately 1.5 hours. Class size is limited to 35 seats.

Radiology is the branch of medicine that utilizes radiation to produce images that aid in diagnosis and treatment of disease. These images are produced by the radiographer. The radiography program prepares individuals to perform diagnostic imaging exams working in a variety of settings, including hospitals, diagnostic centers and physician offices. The average salary for a radiographer is $20.89 per hour. Radiographers are an integral part of the health care team.

Radiography Program Information Sessions educate prospective students about a career in radiologic technology work.
