SCF Offering Special Price on Motorcycle Safety Classes

(Bradenton, Fla., Feb. 2, 2016)— State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) is offering Basic Motorcycle Rider 1 class for a new lower price of $185, previously $199. 

Basic Rider 1 class teaches riding and turning skills, obstacle avoidance maneuvers, effective braking techniques and safe street-riding strategies. Motorcycles and helmets are provided and classes are offered 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday & Sunday at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. W. and SCF Venice, 8000 S. Tamiami Tr. Classes are taught by nationally certified Motorcycle Safety Foundation rider coaches in air-conditioned SCF facilities for the classroom portion and on smooth parking lot surfaces for riding.

Upon successful completion of the Basic Rider 1 class, students can take their endorsement card to the DMV or Tax Collector’s Office to obtain a motorcycle license which is required by Florida law for motorcycle riders. If you already have a Florida drivers license, you can get a motorcycle endorsement on the license you hold.
