SCF to Offer Private Investigator Course in April

(Bradenton, Fla., March 25, 2016) – State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) Workforce Solutions will offer a Private Investigator course beginning April 1 at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. W. This course provides the basic information on becoming a licensed private investigator, including regulation of the industry, department rules, licensing criteria and techniques of investigation.

Classes in the 40-hour course will be held Friday, April 1; Saturday, April 2; Sunday, April 3; Friday, April 8; Saturday, April 9; and Sunday, April 10. Fridays’ classes are 6 to 10 p.m., and Saturdays’ and Sundays’ classes are 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Cost of the six-day course is $395.

This course meets the state licensing requirements to earn the Private Investigator Intern license and qualifies applicants to apply for a private investigator's internship through the Florida Division of Licensing. Classes are instructed by Susan Ewell, President/CEO of SCI Investigations, and William Kemper, Criminal Justice professor at SCF and University of South Florida.
