SCF Music Theatre Department to Hold Auditions for Grease

(Bradenton, Fla., June 9, 2016) — If Sandy, Danny, Rizzo and Kenickie conjure up “Summer Nights” for you, then you may be the one that the Music Theatre Department at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) wants for its October production of the musical Grease.

Student auditions will be held Aug. 22 for the musical set in a high school in the 1950s. It is the story of two teenagers who fall in love over the summer and then end up in different cliques when they return to school. The creative team producing Grease will be introduced during an information session held at 6:30 p.m. June 16 in building 11 west, Room 189, at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. W. Audition packets will be available. The meeting also will cover how to enroll in the Music Theatre Ensemble class MUN1640, a prerequisite for auditioning for the show or being part of the technical team.

Opening night is set for Oct. 21.
