SCF, Manatee-Sarasota Offers Prep Classes for Essential Academic Skills Test

(Bradenton, Fla., June 28, 2016) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) Corporate and Community Development is offering preparation classes for the Test for Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) Exam.

Two three-hour classes will be held at SCF Lakewood Ranch, Center for Innovation and Technology, 7131 Professional Pkwy., Room 215 in each of the following categories:

English, 5:30-8:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 8, and Wednesday, Aug. 10;

Reading, 5:30-8:30 p.m. Monday, Aug 15, and Wednesday, Aug. 17;

Science, 5:30-8:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 22, and Wednesday, Aug. 24;

Math, 5:30-8:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29, and Wednesday, Aug. 31.

The cost is $45 per category or $160 for all four categories.

Students can take the TEAS exam offered at SCF, and must pass all sections of the TEAS exam before they can apply to SCF’s nursing program. If students fail any one portion of the exam, they must retake the entire exam. The TEAS exam must be completed at least two weeks prior to the nursing program application deadline.
