SCF, Manatee-Sarasota Nursing Department Benefits From Plantation Grant

(Bradenton, Fla., July 21, 2016) — The nursing department at State College of Florida, Manatee Sarasota (SCF) has purchased three nursing skills mannequins thanks to a $2,850 grant from The Plantation Community Foundation of Venice, Florida.

The nursing program purchased three KERI Patient Manikins, specifically designed for medical programs with lifelike range of motion and realistic patient positioning, to be used on the SCF Venice campus. The mannequins are a vital training tool in the nursing program.

The Plantation Community Foundation of Venice, Florida, is composed of residents of Venice’s Plantation community and surrounding neighborhoods, and members and employees of the Plantation Golf and Country Club, whose mission is to improve the quality of life in South Sarasota County.
