SCF, Manatee-Sarasota to Hand Out Pocket Constitutions for Constitution Day

(Bradenton, Fla., Sept. 13, 2016) — The Student Life Office at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) will hand out pocket U.S. Constitutions in English and Spanish on Friday, Sept. 16, in honor of National Constitution Day.  A full-scale copy of the Constitution also will be available on the Bradenton campus for students to read.

 Commemorating the formation and signing of the U.S. Constitution on Sept. 17, 1787, Constitution Day recognizes all who, by birth in the United States or by naturalization, have become citizens. Constitution Day became an official holiday in conjunction with Citizenship Day in 2004.

 Student Life offers students opportunities to become involved in SCF campus life and supports the Student Government Association.
