Theatre Students Present “She Kills Monsters” at SCF, Manatee-Sarasota

(Bradenton, Fla., Nov. 3, 2016) — Students at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) will embark on a journey into the world of fantasy in “She Kills Monsters,” a Studio 84 Theatre Production Nov. 18 through 27 at SCF’s Howard Studio Theatre, 5840 26th St. W. It’s a dramatic comedy that delves into the world of role-playing games.

“She Kills Monsters” – the story of a young woman who finds her late sister’s Dungeons & Dragons notebook and enters into a fantasy world packed with adventure – won the 2013 American Alliance for Theatre and Education Distinguished Play Award for playwright Qui Nguyen. Cast members are SCF students Nick Catanzaro, Debby Echevarria, Steve Echevarria Jr., Anthony Hartmann, Emily Marrero, Jonathan Martinez, Lilly Oberhoff, Vanessa Parelli, Veronica Powell and Melanie Waters; future SCF student Michael Longobardi; and State College of Florida Collegiate School (SCFCS) students Kyra Farinas and Jocelyn Riley. The play is directed by David Nields, theatre instructor at SCFCS.
