SCF, Manatee-Sarasota to Present During Florida Virtual College Night

(Bradenton, Fla., Nov. 3, 2016) — Thomas Vo, director of Financial Aid at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF), is scheduled to be a guest speaker for Florida Virtual College Night, designed to offer advice to high school students applying to college. As many as 5,000 students are expected to log in for Virtual College Night at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 16.

In this session dubbed College 101, students will learn about the admissions process, selecting a college, available degrees and how to pay for college. The online information session and expert advice is free. School counselors, students and parents are invited to join. Students also will find out how to earn college credit while still in high school.

Vo has more than 20 years of experience in financial aid and is the president-elect of the Florida Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators. The not-for-profit educational corporation, made up of more than 700 financial aid professionals, helps develop and maintain professional standards of financial aid administration and promotes student financial aid programs that are consistent with good professional practices.
