Workforce Solutions at SCF, Manatee-Sarasota Offers Customized Training

(Bradenton, Fla., Nov. 8, 2016) — The Workforce Solutions department at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) offers customized training and professional development to local workers and their employers.

SCF offers affordable, noncredit educational training facilitated by highly qualified instructors delivered at an employer’s worksite. In the first quarter of 2016-17, SCF added nine new clients in diverse industries, such as manufacturing, construction and nonprofits, including the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office; Sterling Manufacturing; Children First, Inc.; and Village on the Isle.

Over the past year, SCF has helped educate more than 20 companies in workforce topics such as computer classes, leadership management and manufacturing certifications, and has received positive feedback from those clients.

“We were successful in our goal to offer a professional conference experience to our staff in a setting that relays our message of continued learning,” said Brigette Davis, director of training and quality assurance for Children First, Inc.  “Each and every SCF representative we encountered was pleasant, helpful, attentive and welcoming to us as individuals and as an agency.”
