SCF, Manatee-Sarasota to Offer Private Investigator Course

(Bradenton, Fla., Nov. 29, 2016) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) Workforce Solutions will offer a Private Investigator course in December at SCF Venice, 8000 S. Tamiami Trail, Room 832. This course provides the basic information on becoming a licensed private investigator, including regulation of the industry, department rules, licensing criteria and techniques of investigation.

Classes in the 40-hour course will be held Friday, Dec. 2; Saturday, Dec. 3; Sunday, Dec. 4; Friday, Dec. 9; Saturday, Dec. 10; and Sunday, Dec. 11. Friday classes are 6 to 10 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday classes are 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Cost of the six-day course is $395.

This course meets the state licensing requirements to earn the Private Investigator Class CC Intern license and qualifies applicants to apply for a private investigator's internship through the Florida Division of Licensing.
