SCF Manatee-Sarasota to Host Radiography Information Session

(Bradenton, Fla., Dec. 20, 2016)– State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) will host a Radiography Program information session for those interested in applying for the Summer 2017 term. The session will be at 4:30 p.m. Jan. 19 at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. W.

Radiology is the branch of medicine that uses radiation to produce images that aid in diagnosis and treatment of disease. These images are produced by the radiographer, who is an integral part of the health care team. The Radiography Program prepares individuals to perform diagnostic imaging exams working in a variety of settings, including hospitals, diagnostic centers and physician offices. The average salary for a radiographer is $20.89 an hour.

Radiography Program information sessions educate prospective students about a career as a radiographer. Those wishing to apply to the program must register and attend the information session as a part of the application process.
