National Expert to Offer College Math Tips to SCF, Manatee-Sarasota Students

(Bradenton, Fla., Aug. 18, 2016) — Paul Nolting, a national expert in assessing learning problems and developing effective learning strategies, will offer a seminar Aug. 31 to students at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) on how to prepare and study for college math. The seminar is geared toward students taking college math for the first time and to those teaching new math students.

Nolting offers seminars to colleges and universities around the country to improve tutoring, course success, retention and graduation, and has consulted on more than 150 campuses. He is the author of several textbooks and has developed DVDs and web programs on study skills, test anxiety, tutor training and disabilities.

Nolting’s free seminar will be at 11 a.m. Aug. 31 in Building 25, Room 148, 5840 26th St. W, Bradenton. Students who want tips on note taking, reducing test anxiety or how to analyze a test are encouraged to attend.
