Guy Lombardo’s Royal Canadians to Perform at SCF’s Neel Performing Arts Center

(Bradenton, Fla., Feb. 7, 2017) — The State College of Florida Foundation will host Guy Lombardo’s Royal Canadians at its next Sundays at Neel performance at 2 p.m. Feb. 12 at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota’s Neel Performing Arts Center, 5840 26th St. W.

The Lombardo Orchestra, founded in 1919, is the longest-running dance orchestra in the world. Since Lombardo’s first TV show in 1954, this orchestra has played for more than 1.5 billion viewers and has sold more than 500 million albums. Al Pierson revived the orchestra in 1989 after Lombardo’s death 12 years earlier. Pierson’s group, Al Pierson Big Band USA, was widely recognized as one of American’s finest dance bands.

During the construction of SCF’s new Library and Learning Center, parking for SCF’s Neel Performing Arts Center will be west of Building 11, in Parking Lot I. Entrance to the auditorium remains on the east side of the building, with a drop-off area directly to the south of the front doors. Signs along 60th Avenue West and the drive lanes on campus guide patrons to the drop-off area and parking.
