Silver Rating Helps SCF Garner $625,000 in Performance Funding

(Bradenton, Fla., Aug. 8, 2017) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) will receive more than $625,000 in state performance funding after earning a silver rating from the Florida College System. The silver rating is determined by performance in four categories: student retention rate, completion rate, job placement or transfer rate and graduate wages. SCF earned the silver rating because it was at or above average in every category.

SCF can use the performance funding for non-recurring costs. By earning a silver status, SCF received a portion of $30 million in state funds designated for high performing schools. There were 14 other schools in the silver category.
