Local Businessman Credits MCC Small Business Development Center
(Bradenton, Fla., July 12, 2005) - Local businessman Dan Hueston gives the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Manatee Community College (MCC) and its Certified Business Analyst (CBA) Eric Liguori credit for helping him successfully grow his family business.
The Mega-Bee CEO had found a lucrative market for his dietary supplement in various restaurants throughout the state. In January, 2005, he enlisted Liguori's help in taking his business to the next level. Mega-Bee has since been featured in Doctor's Health Journal and showcased in a statewide marketing campaign through several mediums. Hueston has hired a graphic designer, computer network specialist and begun construction of an automated online ordering system at www.megabee.com.
SBDC services include free one-on-one counseling and business startup workshops offered at Manatee, Sarasota and Venice chambers of commerce. A Summer/Fall Success Series for Small Business offers courses in strategic planning, grassroots marketing, cash flow management, financial resources, creating a Web presence on a budget, and many more.
