MCC Graduate An Academic Star Hungry for Knowledge
(Bradenton, Fla., May 3, 2006) - Manatee Community College (MCC) sophomore Adam Warcewicz, 39, is graduating summa cum laude and also won a place on the select first team of Phi Theta Kappa's 2006 All-Florida Academic Team. A strong advocate of lifelong learning, he does not believe in setting limits on what he can accomplish. He thinks using knowledge for the benefit of others is the pathway to success.
Warcewicz, a Sarasota resident, served as president of the MCC Bradenton Student Government Association and executive vice president of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society. He is now in the process of opening new doors for himself. This summer, he plans to take an exploratory trip to Ecuador to build a house and learn more about real estate opportunities there. His All-Florida Academic Team status, which entitles him to a $5,000 scholarship, will then ease the way into the University of South Florida, where he plans to major in history and law and go on to the Stetson University College of Law.
"My most important MCC experience does not come from any award, medal or trophy. It has been the continued support and love that family and friends have shown during these past two years," said Warcewicz.
