MCC Honor Society Chapter Wins State Awards
(Bradenton, Fla., Dec. 1, 2006) - For the third consecutive year, the Manatee Community College (MCC) Bradenton chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa international honor society has won a Distinguished Chapter Award. The MCC Nu Zeta chapter also won a Fellowship Hallmark Award for its college and community outreach programs. Awards were presented at the Florida Phi Theta Kappa Regional Convention held Nov. 3 through 5 in Orlando.
The MCC chapter is an International Five Star Chapter, which is the highest recognition bestowed on chapter programs by Phi Theta Kappa. Dr. Joni Pirnot is the Nu Zeta advisor.
