MCC Hosts Celebration of African Arts
(Bradenton, Fla., Feb. 14, 2007) - Demonstrations and lectures by Ugandan woodcut printmaker Fred (Kato) Mutebi, films and performances by drummers are events taking place as part of Manatee Community College's Celebration of African Arts. Held in observance of MCC's ongoing 50th anniversary celebration, all the events are free and open to the public. They include:
- Opening Reception, Exhibit by Fred (Kato) Mutebi, 6-8 p.m., Feb. 23, Fine Art Gallery, MCC Bradenton; and
- Drummer Maceo performs 6:30-7:30 p.m. and Fred (Kato) Mutebi gives an Artist's Talk, 8-9 p.m., Feb. 23, Family Heritage House Museum.
