Occupational Therapy Assistant Graduates Pass Exam
(Bradenton, Fla., Sept. 26, 2007) -- One hundred percent of the 16-member May 2007 graduating class of the Manatee Community College (MCC) Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) Program passed the national certification examination on the first try.
OTA skilled health care providers work under the supervision of a registered occupational therapist to assist disabled people of all ages in acquiring or regaining independent living skills.
MCC's two-year, fully accredited OTA Program is a limited enrollment program that offers an opportunity to earn either an associate in applied science (A.A.S.) or an associate in science (A.S.) degree. The program combines coursework at MCC with clinical experiences at health-care institutions in Manatee and Sarasota counties.
