MCC Hosts 5K Race & Walk

(Bradenton, Fla., Jan. 4, 2008) - The Manatee Community College (MCC) Athletics Program will sponsor its Second Annual 5K Race, Run & Walk on Saturday, Jan. 12. Races begin and end at the Hal Chasey Gymnasium at MCC Bradenton, located off 60^th Avenue West between 26^th Street West and 34^th Street West. The 5K Race begins at 8 a.m. and a Mile Run and Walk begins at 9 a.m. Awards will be presented to winners in gender- and age-based categories.

Fees for the races are $20 and may be paid on the day of the races. Proceeds will go to MCC student scholarships and the Police Athletic League in Manatee and Sarasota counties.
