Learn About Teaching Certification Program

(Bradenton, Fla., May 5, 2008) - Manatee Community College (MCC) will host information sessions about its teaching certification preparation program, for noneducation majors with at least a bachelor's degree, at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4, in room 214, MCC Lakewood Ranch, 7131 Professional Parkway East.

After finishing all courses in the program and passing required state and college exams, participants will receive certificates of completion that make them eligible for the Florida Department of Education's professional teaching certificate. Evening and weekend scheduling of classes allows working professionals to participate. The cost of MCC's alternative certification program (ACP) is approximately $2,000.
