Kids' Summer Spectrum Expands to Serve Ages 12-15

(Bradenton, Fla., May 15, 2008) - For the first time this summer, the annual Manatee Community College (MCC) Kids' Summer Spectrum expanded to serve ages 12 through 15 with Youth Extravaganza classes geared to career exploration, video game design and more at MCC Lakewood Ranch, 7131 Professional Parkway East. The summer camp traditionally serves ages 7 through 11.

The first of four weekly sessions of Kids' Summer Spectrum Youth Extravaganza began June 16. Diverse classes cater to individual interests and combine fun and education in morning and afternoon sessions held Monday through Friday. Classes cover such topics as basket weaving, robotics, engineering, art, science, the Web, video podcasting and blogs.
