Enrollment Open for Kids' Summer Spectrum

(Bradenton, Fla., May 11, 2009) - Registration is open for Kids' Summer Spectrum, a Manatee Community College (MCC) summer camp for children ages 7 through 15 provided by Corporate and Community Development. 

Morning sessions from 9 a.m. to noon and afternoon sessions from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. will be held Monday through Friday beginning June 8 at MCC Bradenton, 5840 26th St. West and June 15 at MCC Lakewood Ranch, 7131 Professional Pkwy. East, Sarasota, and MCC Venice, 8000 South Tamiami Trail, Venice.

A lively combination of fun and education, Kids' Summer Spectrum classes cover a variety of topics such as pillow art, jewelry design, safari, science, wedding planning, writing, dancing and cooking. Classes designed to give kids hands-on computer and technology experience are offered in engineering, blogging, clay animation, video game design and creative robotics.
