MCC Studio 84 Presents Florida Premiere of Comedy

(Bradenton, Fla., Feb. 10, 2009) - Studio 84 Productions at Manatee Community College (MCC) will present the Florida premiere of the comedy, "The One That Got Away," by Atlanta playwright Eddie McPherson.  Performances will be in the MCC Bradenton David S. and Anne V. Howard Studio Theatre at 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb 20, Saturday, Feb 21, Monday, Feb. 23, and Thursday, Feb. 26 through Saturday, Feb. 28. A matinee performance is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 22. The theatre is located off 60th Ave. W. in the Music and Theatre Building, 5840 26th St. W., Bradenton.

The comedy centers around an annual fishing tournament where four inept young men, who know little about women and nothing about fishing, hope to lure the ladies with their "charm and animal magnetism" until the ladies decide to teach the ego-filled fellows a lesson.

The MCC production is directed by Dean Anthony, MCC Fine and Performing Arts instructor, and features MCC student cast members: Nicholas DeLisi, Jenna Gagliano, Michael Jorgensen, Carl MacMichael, Brittany Miller, Gilbert Ortiz, Mariana Rocha, Sarah Santiago, Katelyn Studer and Zachary Yowarski. General admission tickets are $10; students and MCC staff are $5.
