Continuing & Community Education

The Institute for Continuing & Community Education combines continuing and adult education. Classes include personal enrichment,  professional certification and the Motorcycle Safety class. Classes target a wide aray of community members.

• Newly Added Course Offerings - classes which are added to the semester schedule, once the schedule is printed for distribution
• Kids' Summer Spectrum  - Kids summer educational camp for children ages 7 - 15
• Personal Enrichment classes include art, music, writing, dance, foreign languages, cooking, gardening & landscaping, tennis, golf, bowling, private music lessons, computers, finance & investments, exercise & health, and more.
• Professional certification children & divorce, licensure classes and continuing education units are provided for regulated industries including insurance, construction, home inspector, USGB green building classes, solar source - PV & solar thermal, real estate, private investigator intern (class CC), security officer (class D), boating captain license, scuba diving (NAUI certification), sailing, family guardianship, concealed weapons and business certificates, Project management prep class for certification 
• Online Classes - pre-licensure and continuing education classes for:  business managment and leadership, personal fitness training, insurance, hospitality, food & beverage, financial services, environmental health & safety, real estate, construction, health care professionals, driving & transportation, ce classes for construction, lawyers, accounts, health professionals, emt, and more!
• "Ageless Ed-Ventures" courses are geared toward older learners.
• FlexStart list to help us offer the classes you want.
• Motorcycle Rider Instruction for beginning and experienced motorcycle riders is provided at SCF Bradenton and SCF Venice campuses.
• Community Foundation of Sarasota County classes designed in conjunction with the Foundation
• Life Long Learning Academy classes designed in conjuction with LLA-SM
