enhance existing businesses. In combination with individual counseling provided by our experienced team of Certified Business Counselors, you will receive indepth information on the resources you need to be a successful entrepreneur.
SBDC Startup Workshops are conveniently located throughout Manatee and Sarasota counties to give you an overview of what it takes to start your own business.

ANNOUNCING NEW SBDC CLASSES
Maxmimize Your Tax Refund - This class provides a side-by-side look at available software, tips on when NOT to use off-the-shelf software, free filing options and more. The course compares three methods of filing your own tax return, tips for making sure your return is complete and ways to maximize your refund, inluding how to ensure no deductions are missed. October 20th, 6pm - 8pm at SCF Lakewood Ranch $50
Protecting Your Company's Assets and Finding Grants - In this tough economy, it is important to protect company assets and track dwon grants. This class will give the tips necessary to do that. November 2nd, 1pm - 3pm at SCF Lakewood Ranch $40
So What's Next? - For those interested in pursuing a second or third career, learn how to reinvent yourself, what type of skills to refresh and how to work with young supervisors. - The Critical Importance of Marketing - Learn why marketing has become so important, the proper way to brand a product/service, how to increase your digital footprint and sales tips everybody can use.
- The Person that Fails to Plan, Plans to Fail - A business Plan is critical to business success. Students learn the process to validate a concept, research and due diligence, financial strategy adn how to write a good business plan.
