Q: Do I have to own an iPhone (iPad Touch) to take the class?
A: No, iPhone (iPad Touch) is not required to take the class. If you do not have one, you can either use an iPhone Simulation on the computer or share with others in the class.
Q: Do I have to be a programmer?
A: Although some basic programming skills would be helpful, you don't need to be a programmer to start learning iPhone app development. However, you do need to know how to navigate the Apple operating system.
Q: I have a great idea for a new app. Will we be creating our own app during class?
A: This is a beginning level class and will be heavily focused on hands-on experience. You will be working on group projects to develop basic iPhone apps. With the knowledge and skills you'll learn from this class you will be ready to move on to a more advanced level to develop more comprehensive iPhone apps.
Q: Can I bring my own MAC book?
A: No, the college will supply a MAC book with iPhone SDK during class.
Q: How big is the class?
A: Maximum enrollment of this class is 15 participants.
Q: Is there a minimum age to take the class?
A: No, but they must meet the requirements stated.
Q: Will I receive some kind of certification when I complete the class?
A: You will receive a certificate of completion from State College of Florida.
Q: Does this course count towards my AA/AS?
A: No, not at this time.
