Procedure For Requesting Equipment
Many of SCF's classrooms contain technology that is permanently stored in the classroom. We are working toward making sure that each classroom building has some rooms with multimedia teaching workstations. A typical workstation includes: a teaching podium, which contains computer with DVD, VCR, amplifier and switcher; a ceiling-mounted projector; Internet connection. This setup is modified depending on the needs of the majority of classes scheduled for the room.
Always check the technology in a
classroom prior to teaching in that room. If the needed
equipment is there, practice its use prior to class. If you
need training contact Mary Masi, masim@scf.edu or call 752-5645
(65645).
If you find that you will need additional equipment for certain
classes, the AV department of the library keeps mobile
equipment for placement in classrooms. They have LCD
projectors, transparency overheads, VCR's, etc. To
reserve equipment email or call 48 hours prior to date
needed.

The CIT at Lakewood Ranch has many technology-equipped classrooms. Again, however, it is good practice to check the room in which you will be teaching. Do not expect that all technology is available in all classrooms. For information or training contact:
