Alex Burgos

In his freshman year, Burgos went 3-2 with 47 strikeouts in 55 innings for the Manatees. Last summer he pitched for the Mankato MoonDogs in the Northwoods League posting a 1.81 era with 52 strikeouts in 53 innings. A four-year varsity starter earning All-Conference all four years at Osceola High, Bugos posted a 11-0 record with a 1.35 era and 110 strikeouts his senior year. He was named Osceola County Player of the Year both junior and senior years and to Second Team All-State his senior year. Bugos pitched for Team Mizuno and has signed with Florida Southern College for fall 2010. He is working toward an associate degree at SCF.
