Student Employment

Student employment is an important source of financial aid. Opportunities are available at all campus sites year round, but most positions are filled prior to the start of each term.

SCF student employment consists of two programs:

  • Federal Work Study (need-based)
  • Student Assistant Program

Eligibility

To qualify for student employment at SCF, you must:

  • Be a degree-seeking student (A.A.S, A.A., A.S. or bachelor's degree)
  • Be enrolled at least half-time per term and remain enrolled in at least six hours throughout the term of employment. Summer employment requires three hours throughout Summer A and B or C. Audit classes do not count
  • Complete the current year's FAFSA
  • Must not owe a repayment or be in default under any state or federal grant or loan program.
  • Complete the Student Employment Application
  • Maintaina total institutional GPA of 2.0 or greater and meet the standards of Satisfactory Academic Progress

When Jobs Are Available

Funding for student employment is limited so positions are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Most positions are filled prior to the start of each term.

How Much Can You Work

Qualifying students can work up to 25 hours per week. International students are limited to 20 hours per week.
