Montgomery GI Bill Selected Reserve 

MGIB-SR is an educational entitlement program for members of the Selected Reserve or National Guard. Eligibility applies to a person who, on or after July 1, 1985, enlists, re-enlists or otherwise extends an enlistment for a period totaling six years in the Selected Reserves. Applicants must submit DD form 2384 "Notice of Basic Eligibility" signed by their commanding officer with completed form 22-1990.  Members of the inactive reserve are not eligible for this program.

Receipt of an ROTC scholarship or separation from the Selected Reserve terminates eligibility under this chapter. A new provision, however, extends entitlements to those pursuing a graduate degree. Previously, receipt of a bachelor's degree or the equivalent also terminated eligibility. Submit an application (22-1990) with DD form 2384 (must be signed by the Commanding Officer) to the College.
